Another evening of the Mobile Thrift Center helping those in need

The weather is cold…very cold, it’s snowing and blowing with more in the forecast. The weather changes, but people  whose lives have them in a state of need goes on and on.

This evening we were set up at the food pantry site in Watford City, ND. We were able to help people with coats, hooded sweatshirts, sweaters, caps, gloves, warm socks, snowpants, boots, heaters, toaster, crock pots, blankets, outdoor mats, bath towels, lamps, can opener, mugs, frying pans….and the list goes on. It’s amazing what you can pack in a 29 foot camper.

Each of the items selected went to a family or person with a need, and we were able to help them and let them know we love them and God loves them.  They were most appreciative. A couple gals with families came in with just hooded sweatshirts on (it was 7 degrees and the wind was blowing).  I asked where are your coats? They said we’re from New Mexico, it doesn’t get this cold down there, we don’t have any. Now they do. We actually picked up a couple living in a camper who had no way to get to town to get food from the pantry or coats and boots they needed. Car breakdowns and other issues had them in a desperate place, and we were able to help them. This is just two of the stories from tonight, there are more, always more.

Thanks to all of you who donated coats, blankets, kitchen utensils and other items that we were able to give people tonight to help meet their need. God Bless You!  Thanks to those of you who have supported us financially, making it possible for us to be here helping people in Jesus name.

  1. I was there to see for myself last night, Jim and Kathy are doing a really great job meeting needs, thank you both! Take note of the needs section above in the drop down menu. They are low on several things – drop off is at Glory of the Lord Church (next to CarQuest).
