We are now accepting application for the following 2 AmeriCorps powered positions:

Community Program & Volunteer Coordinator

Member Duties: The AmeriCorps member will build capacity by developing, organizing and running programs for the Bakken Oil Rush Ministry which will serve those in need in the McKenzie County community with a focus on helping them feel like they belong, coordinating volunteer development within the programs as well as ministry operations, and by building the ministry’s online presence in order to educate those in need of the areas that Bakken Oil Rush Ministry and other community organizations can help. AmeriCorps member will be required to sign an agreement stating a willingness to abide by ministry guidelines.

Service schedule and location: Hours are scheduled with the site supervisor; however, flexible scheduling can be utilized with hours of work primarily occurring between the hours of 8am and 10pm.

The AmeriCorps member will work closely with the site supervisor with the option to work from home and/or in the ministry office as warranted.

Program Benefits: Education Award, Training, Living Allowance, non-profit experience, and working within your local community.

Terms: Term is 900 hours beginning 1/1/2023 and ending 10/31/2023 (approx. 20/week), in accordance with AmeriCorps guidelines. Permits working at another job during off hours. Permits attendance at school during off hours.

Service Areas: Community Outreach, Volunteer Development, Program Coordination, Social Media Development, and Grant writing and research

Community Outreach Coordinator

Member Duties: The AmeriCorps member will build capacity for the Bakken Oil Rush Ministry by providing services to those in need who utilize the Bakken Thrift Store, by being an additional contact person to provide assistance during emergencies, by attending McKenzie County Cares Meetings to expand knowledge of areas that offer additional service to those who need assistance and by educating those in need of the areas where Bakken Oil Rush Ministry and other community organizations can help. AmeriCorps member will be required to sign an agreement stating a willingness to abide by ministry guidelines.

Service schedule and location: Hours are scheduled with the site supervisor; however, flexible scheduling can be utilized with hours of work primarily occurring between the hours of 8am and 6pm.

The AmeriCorps member will work closely with the site supervisor to provide services within the building of the thrift store.

Program Benefits: Education Award, Training, Living Allowance, non-profit experience and working within your local community.
