At Bakken Oil Rush Ministry, we are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our community, which allows us to serve those in need every day. To ensure we can continue to provide the highest quality items to our shoppers and those we serve, we’re making a small change to how we accept clothing donations.
Starting now, we kindly ask that all clothing donations be brought in boxes, totes, or clear bags other than trash bags.
Here’s why: Over time, we’ve found that donations in trash bags often contain items that are unsorted, stained, or unsuitable for sharing with others. By asking for boxes or reusable containers, we hope this small step encourages everyone to thoughtfully sort through their items. This ensures the donations we receive are clean, usable, and truly helpful for those who need them most.
We believe this change will help us:
- Reduce waste, allowing us to focus our time and resources on serving others.
- Keep our donation process efficient for our volunteers and staff.
- Maintain dignity and respect for those receiving the items.
Thank you for your understanding and for partnering with us to make a difference! Your support means everything to us and to the people we serve. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out—we’re here to help.
