ConocoPhillips Volunteers are always ready to pitch in!

Even though the temps approached 90° last Saturday, 168 families braved the heat and visited our white tent to stock up on coats, boots, gloves, hats and scarves. The line was so long but everyone was extremely cheerful and kind as they patiently waited their turns to pick out their items. Thank you to ConocoPhillips and McKenzie Health for providing amazing volunteers who worked with each family to total up their bundles. And an amazing shout out is needed for our incredible staff who worked tirelessly in the weeks coming up to the event and on Saturday making sure the coats and items were well organized, zippers working, pockets cleaned out, etc. Please be sure to thank them if you visit the thrift store in the next week or so!

Folks lined up early to receive their winter-wear!

As of now, all the winterwear we have had donated since spring is out on the racks in the Quonset and available for families who still need to get prepared for the cold. We expect there to be a second rush as the days grow colder and we are predicting a need for more coats and gloves/mittens especially. In fact, we are totally out of boys coats size 10-14. As you are getting out your winter-wear this season, please consider donating any items you won’t be using back to the thrift store so we can get them right back out to those who still need them. We will continue to give winter-wear to families throughout the winter months as long as we keep receiving donations!
