Saturday, September 28, 2024 is the big day! Over the next 2 weeks our staff and volunteers will be filling the big white tent with gently used coats, hats, gloves, boots, scarves, all things winter wear to give away to those in need starting Saturday, September 28. We want to thank Raymond and his crew at ConocoPhillips for setting up that huge tent! It takes a lot of manpower to organize this event and we couldn’t do it without our amazing community.
Last year, we gave away $32,000 worth of winter wear items from September through April. We expect to exceed that amount this next cold season as the economy continues to suffer. After the big event on Saturday, we will keep the tent up until the first major wave of recipients subsides and will then move all the winter wear to the quonset where we will continue giving it away throughout the cold months.
