Folks…here it is! Drove through icy roads, freezing rain to pick up the trailer AND then crazy nasty fog for 30 miles or so on the way back to Sisseton where we will be loading the sorted thrift items into the trailer for the trip back to Watford City, ND. So, so close to being ready to help the people that need it the most! Give us grace Lord and strength for the journey. I’m tired!
Bags and boxes and bags and boxes of items for the mobile thrift center being sorted by Kathie and myself while we wait for the call that the graphics are completed on the trailer. We are so blessed by the generosity of churches in the area that have donated blankets, coats, clothes, pots, pans, dishes, crock pots, coffee pots, heaters, bedding, towels…you get the idea. Usable items for people in need. Gotta go, and get back to sorting!
These 5 Pastors received a personal tour of the Bakken oil field and Watford City yesterday. Kathie and I also enlisted their help to unload the first items to arrive in Watford City for the Mobile/free thrift store. During the afternoon we handed out several hundred care packages at 4 different RV camps. The cookies included seemed to be the biggest hit to those receiving the packages.
The Bakken Oil Rush pickup and trailer headed to Watertown today…Through some crazy winds to be transformed from a Toyhauler into the Oil Rush mobile Free/Thrift store.
We are more than excited! Many thanks to the guys from Cornerstone Church in Watertown that have taken on this project to help move the ministry forward. We are blessed and grateful! Can’t wait to see the finished project.
Here is the pickup we will be using to pull the mobile thrift store around the Watford City area! Yeah God!
